The Venezuelan filmmaker Carlos Beltran along with Redes Populares de Voluntad Popular and the Non-governmental organization Quiero Paz unraveled the lives of 3 people who survived the living hell in Venezuelan prisons. Yadira, Gilber and Wladimir opened up about their ordeal. The result of a journey that began 1 year ago is the documentary Voluntad y Paz (Will and Peace).

Peace ID:001A light in darkness

Jayne Waithera was an unusual baby in Kenya’s Nyeri district. So unusual that her 20 year-old mother left her with her grandmother and never returned. Jayne, 24, was born with Albinism. Her incredibly white skin and blond hair remained a source of taunt, fear and discrimination among people who thought her cursed. Growing up, her grandmother didn’t know she needed sunscreen or special glasses for her weak and sensitive eyes.
